A blank camera during video chat usually has one of a few causes: the browser cannot access the camera, another app is already using it, or the wrong camera device is selected. Work through these checks in order:

  • Check Browser Permission — make sure the camera is allowed for FlingsterChat, confirm the correct camera is chosen, then refresh the page.
  • Close Other Camera Applications — video call tools, recording software, or another browser tab can hold the camera so FlingsterChat cannot use it.
  • Check the Device Camera — confirm the camera itself works in another app, and that no physical cover or hardware switch is blocking it.
  • Switch Cameras on Mobile — if your phone has front and rear cameras, switch between them to select the one you want to use.

Because everything runs in the browser, you can use browser video chat with no app download once the camera permission is set correctly.

Microphone Not Working

If people cannot hear you, the microphone is often blocked, set to the wrong input, or muted. These steps cover the most common reasons:

  • Confirm Microphone Permission — check that the microphone is allowed for FlingsterChat in your browser settings.
  • Select the Correct Input — if you use a headset or external microphone, make sure it is chosen as the active input device.

When a microphone is not available at all, you can still connect through random text chat, which needs no microphone.

Why Is Random Matching Taking Longer?

Matching time is not fixed. It can be affected by fewer users in your selected mode, a quieter region, an unstable network, blocked permissions, an outdated browser, another app using your device, or a temporary service issue.

Check that your internet connection is active and reasonably stable before assuming the problem is with matching.

  • Move closer to your Wi-Fi router or switch to a stronger connection.

A lower-resolution image on a weak connection does not mean the camera is broken. It is usually the network adjusting to keep the chat running.

No Sound or Too Much Echo

Coins and VIP Access

Coins are a usage-based option. Depending on the live configuration, they can be used for continued matching, private interaction, gifts, and selected profile services. VIP access is a broader option intended for more frequent access to features. Before purchasing either one, check the details shown to you:

  • The displayed price for what you are buying.
  • What is included in the coins or VIP option.
  • The duration of any access you are paying for.
  • How renewal works, if it applies.
  • How cancellation works and any limits that apply.

Refunds: unused digital goods can be refunded. Anything already used is not refundable.
