This Cookie Policy explains how FlingsterChat uses cookies and similar technologies. The broader handling of your personal information is set out in the Privacy Policy.

1. What Is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of data that a website stores through your browser. Cookies can help maintain a session, remember your settings, protect accounts, measure performance, understand how features are used, and support advertising where applicable. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, software development kits (SDKs), tags, and device identifiers, which can serve comparable purposes.

2. Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are required for the site and service to function. They support security, session management, load balancing, fraud prevention, remembering your cookie-consent choices, login, payment-flow continuity, and basic operation of the platform. Blocking them may break parts of FlingsterChat. Where legally permitted, these cookies may be used without optional consent because they are necessary to provide the service you request.

3. Preference Cookies

Preference cookies remember choices that make the experience more convenient, such as your language, device and interface preferences, chat settings, selected mode, display preferences, and consent choices. Removing them may cause the site to prompt you for these settings again.

4. Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how users interact with FlingsterChat. They may measure page visits, feature use, session duration, navigation paths, errors, performance, device and browser categories, and general regional usage. FlingsterChat uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for analytics. These tools are configured to collect only appropriate information. Where required, we do not set optional analytics cookies until you give consent.

5. Advertising and Marketing Cookies

FlingsterChat does not currently use advertising or remarketing cookies. We do not run advertising pixels, build advertising audiences, or personalise ads on this website.

If that changes, this Cookie Policy and the consent interface will be updated first, and where consent is required such cookies would remain disabled until you agree.

6. Security and Fraud-Prevention Technologies

We may use identifiers and technical signals to detect unusual activity, prevent automated abuse, protect payment flows, limit repeated misuse of free offers, investigate account compromise, and enforce our rules. Some of these technologies may be necessary for the operation of the platform.

7. First-Party and Third-Party Cookies

• First-party cookies — set by FlingsterChat for its own operation and to remember your preferences.
• Third-party cookies — set by providers that support analytics, payments, security, and content delivery. The analytics provider we use is Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

Third parties process data in accordance with their own policies.

8. Session and Persistent Cookies

• Session cookies — expire when you close the browser.
• Persistent cookies — remain for a defined period or until you remove them.

A cookie's lifetime depends on its purpose and the provider.

9. How to Manage Cookies

You can manage cookies through the FlingsterChat consent tool, your browser settings, your device settings, provider opt-out tools, and any applicable privacy controls. Disabling optional cookies should not normally prevent basic access, though some features may behave differently. Deleting cookies may sign you out or reset your choices.

A few things are worth knowing before you start clearing:

• Deleting all cookies signs you out — session and login cookies go with everything else, so expect to sign in again on your next visit.
• Your consent choice is itself stored in a cookie — wipe your cookies and the consent banner will ask again, because the record of your last choice is gone.
• Blocking third-party cookies is not the same as blocking all cookies — the first usually leaves logins and preferences working; the second can break sign-in, payment flows, and saved settings.
• Essential cookies cannot be switched off in the consent tool — the only way to refuse them is through your browser, and parts of the site may stop working if you do.

If a settings change leaves the site behaving oddly — a camera that will not start, a login that will not stick — the Help Center's browser and permission fixes are the fastest place to look before contacting support.

10. Browser Settings

Every major browser lets you view and delete cookies, block future or third-party cookies, clear site data for a single site, and create exceptions for sites you trust. The exact wording moves between versions, but the path is similar everywhere:

• Chrome — open Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies to set blocking rules, or "Delete browsing data" to clear stored cookies. Site-by-site controls sit under Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings.
• Safari (macOS) — Safari menu → Settings → Privacy, where you can block all cookies or manage stored website data. On iPhone and iPad, the same options live in the Settings app under Safari.
• Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security: "Enhanced Tracking Protection" handles third-party cookies, and "Cookies and Site Data" lets you clear or manage what is stored.
• Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data, with a separate toggle for blocking third-party cookies.

Because menus shift with each browser update, the support pages published by Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge themselves remain the most current place to follow along step by step.

11. Consent Choices

Where the law requires consent, the banner you see on your first visit does the actual work. You can accept all optional cookies, reject them, or open the category view and decide one group at a time — analytics on and preferences off, or the other way around. Nothing optional loads before you answer.

Changing your mind later works the same way: reopen the consent tool, move the toggles, and the new choice replaces the old one from that point on. One honest detail — remembering your choice itself takes an essential cookie, so clearing your cookies also wipes the record of what you picked, and the banner will ask again on your next visit. That is the tool working as designed, not ignoring you.

Our consent banner does not describe optional tracking as essential, and saying no to optional cookies does not normally block basic access to the site.

12. Do Not Track and Privacy Signals

Some browsers and devices may send signals such as Do Not Track or another recognised mechanism. The required response to these signals depends on applicable law and the technologies involved.

13. Cookies and Chat Content

Cookies generally store identifiers and settings rather than the full live video or audio conversation. Chat content is a separate matter governed by the Privacy Policy, which is where processing, transmission and retention are defined.

14. Changes to This Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy follows the tools we actually use: when a technology, provider, or legal requirement changes, the policy changes too, and the date at the top of the page moves with it. If we add a new analytics, payment, or support tool, we will update this policy first.
